VHS Australia - Physical Media Digitization

Year: 2020 | Scope: Video Digitization | Territory: Social Media

Project:

During the 2020 COVID lockdowns, we embarked on a digitisation project to preserve our family’s visual archives. While sorting through dozens of tapes, we uncovered hours of recorded Australian television from the 1980s, 90s, and early 2000s—including classic AFL matches, nostalgic TV commercials, and long-forgotten shows. This discovery sparked the creation of VHS Australia—a YouTube channel designed to reintroduce these cultural gems to audiences in 2025 and spark a wave of nostalgia for a generation raised on analog screens.

Off the back of this project, Studio93 is now offering digitisation services to help others preserve their own cherished memories. We convert VHS, VHS-C, Mini DV, Video8 tapes, and DVDs into digital formats with care and attention to detail.

Disclaimer: At Studio93, we take great care to ensure the highest possible quality during the digitisation process. However, the final output is ultimately dependent on the condition of the original tapes or discs. Deterioration, damage, or age-related wear may affect the quality of the transfer. We will always notify you of any issues or limitations encountered during the process and will do our best to preserve your content as faithfully as possible.
